After a nights sleep, I have re-formulated my questions concerning archives.

1. In /etc/aliases when you give the archive -f command are you
specifying the file it should read or the file it should output ?

2. Are the paths for archive and digest absolute including the complete
filename, or do you create a path which points to the directory which
archive should work in.

3. Has anyone textually flow-charted the process of archive happening? IE
does it take incoming mail and reroute it to a file which then is read by
digest and and digets does its' gig ?

Help me Majordomo-users, you're my only hope

thanks jim
