I have a message which I cannot send to a list which
I manage. I am running Majordomo version 1.93 on a machine
running Linux. The message bounces for the following reason:
Subject: BOUNCE listName: Message too long (>40000)
I have edited the file config_parse.pl and replaced the value
40000 with 200000 in the following line:
'maxlength', '200000', # Set max article length
however, the message continues to bounce for the same reason --
Message too long (>40000).
The message is approximately 61000 bytes long.
The /etc/aliases file contains the following definitions
for the list:
#Majordomo list: listName
owner-listName: listName-owner
listName:"|/apps/majordomo/wrapper resend -p bulk -l listName -h hostName -R -f listName-owner -s listName-outgoing"
listName-owner: e-mailHere
listName-approval: e-mailHere
listName-outgoing: :include:/apps/majordomo/Lists/listName, listName-arch
ive
owner-listName-outgoing: listName-owner
listName-archive: "|/apps/majordomo/wrapper archive -f /apps/majordomo/Archiv
e/listName/listName -m -a "
owner-listName-archve: listName-owner
listName-request:"|/apps/majordomo/wrapper request-answer listName"
owner-listName-request: listName-owner
How can I send this message and other messages in the future that are
approximately 100000 bytes long to this list?
How can I resend the bounced message so that it appears to come from
the original sender and not myself?
Your help is appreciated.
