Subject: mail into oblivion

The following problem was noted by 2 of our sysadmins:

We had a situation where the permissions on /usr/lib/sendmail were
incorrect, so majordomo was unable to successfully run the program.
majordomo failed to detect this, and happily sent all the mail into
oblivion. I suspect that majordomo would also fail to detect other
types of sendmail problems, but I'm not sure.

This occurred with 1.92 on SunOS 4.1.3_U1 and Perl 4.0 Patchlevel 36.
Y'all are probably holding your noses and chanting 1.94 and perl5!
