Subject: noadvertised lists appearing with 'lists' command

Recently upgraded to Slackware 2.3 (Linux 1.2.13) which comes with
perl 5.001

Currently running majordomo with a few test groups which are currently
set with noadvertise regexp set as '/.*/' to prevent them from being
listed. However, I have just discovered that the 'lists' command
*still* lists the first supposedly unlisted group. I don't recall this
happening with perl 4.

Is this a perl 5 feature or am I doing something daft. Any ideas?
Apologies if this has been covered before.

TIA
