I am having this problem as well. I am able to approve messages that
are stopped because of length or administrative notes on my non-moderated
list, but i haven't been able to approve anything to the moderated list.

first, the approve script doesn't work at all. it doesn't even print
an error, just gives the prompt back. This is for the moderated and
non-moderated lists.

For the moderated list, i can't even use the method i have used with
the other list: put "approved: password" in front of the message,
with the (non-received) headers. Someone who posted last week
suggested just having the Subject, From, and Date headers -- and
even that didn't work.

is there a setting somewhere so that it knows that *i* am the one that
approved the message? it may be that the address in the aliases
file doesn't match my address (altho it's all the same machine, so
it should be the same).

It is basically impossible for me to have a moderated list because of
this.

I am using SunOS 4.1.4, Majordomo 1.92, Perl 4.35 (or .36), sendmail 8.7.5,
and mh 6.8.3 to send and receive my own mail. Here are the alias listings:
(each alias is on it's own line or wrapped. i tried adding "@stat.lsa.umich.edu"
to each time my login was there, but it didn't work)

owner-stat-class: klm
stat-class:"|/rest/users/majordom/bin/wrapper resend -l stat-class -h
	stat.lsa.umich.edu stat-class"
#stat-class: :include:/rest/users/majordom/lists/stat-class
stat-class-request: "|/rest/users/majordom/bin/wrapper request-answer stat-class"
stat-class-approval: klm
owner-stat-class-approval: klm
stat-class-owner: klm

thanks for any help.
