In an earlier posting today I asked if anyone had figured out how to
get globbing to work with the @archive_dirs array in majordomo.cf
under 1.93.

I finally discovered that the (expected) syntax

@archive_dir = <$filedir/*/*-archive>;

works fine but ONLY if wrapper is setuid to root. If it is setuid to
daemon or majordom, archive2.pl aborts with the complaint:

@archive_dirs not defined in majordomo.cf! Aborting.

All the relevant files and directories are owned by majordom.majordom
with permissions 775 or 664.  I am running SunOS 4.1.3 on a SPARC 5
with Sendmail 8.6.9/8.6.6.

Can anyone explain this? Is there a way around runnng wrapper as
root?

Thanks!
