You need to edit the /etc/sendmail.cf file to include your domain name.
You did not install everything correctly or you would not have to edit 
the sendmail.cf file.  But you can fix it anyway.  This happened to me on 
one of my machines.

Add the line:

Cw"domain name"

e.g. if your email domain is computername.mydomain.com
add

Cwcomputername.mydomain.com
