Got a question for all you list masters out there....
I've started up a mailing list for the purpose of distributing a
regular newsletter regarding the computer networking industry. The
newsletter will contain regular updates on info such as:
- new patches/fixes for NOS's like NetWare/NT and networked apps
- promos currently available from vendors
- conferences/training sessions coming up
- contests for free HW/SW
- info on new products related to the networking industry
...and a LOT more.
Now...the question....
How do folks generally go about promoting their mailing lists? I've
noticed that there's a newsgroup for announcements about list server
mailing lists, but nothing I could find for MD stuff. I've made deals
with a couple other newsletter publishers out there where I will
include a blurb in my newsletter about their newsletter and they will
include one about mine. I've also arranged deals with several others
that will help to promote the newsletter, but I would love to hear
what others do.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
