I know that alot of other people do not have access to some facilities
but here is what we did for our BSE ("Mad Cow Disease") mailing list.
1. We put a link off of our web site to our LWGATE Majordomo interface.
2. Sent post to appropriate news groups (ag and vet related)
3. Issued a press release. (this was picked up by severl agriculture
journals and published)
This has worked fairly well so far. What helps most is just word of
email. We know that with the BSE mailing list, our announcement was
posted to others onto their mailing list on a related topic.
We have had the list running for about 2 weeks and we have over 300
people subscribed. I know that is not alot but it is about twice that of
our other lists.
