I'm Currently managing a moderated mailing list remotely at a Service
Providers Site. When messages get resent out to the mail list users after
being approved, they appear to go out with undesireable results.
Such as:
1) "no subject" appears in the subject line of the mailed message when
it finally reaches the users on the list.
The subject from the original message gets removed, and even if
something is specified for subject_prefix, nothing appears on the
resulting message.
Both the original subject and subject_prefix work okay if the
list is unmoderated.
2) If the message text sent out contains:
Line 1.
Line 2.
Line 3.
Line 4 after a blank line.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The resent message appears with the sender:, precedence:,
reply to:, message header, and message fronter immediately
after line 3 & preceeding the blank line before line 4,
as such:
Line 1.
Line 2.
Line 3.
Sender: blah_blah
Precedence: bulk
Reply-To: blah_blah
Message Header
Message Fronter
Line 4 after a blank line.
So my questions would be:
1a) Is there anyway to get the original subject and subject_prefix
in the resent message ?
2a) Do you know why this info appears prior to the first blank line
of the text ?
2b) Is there anyway to turn off the Sender: & Precedence: headers ?
2c) What is Precedence all about anyhow ?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. <Dave>
