correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the -p bulk prevents
or reduces the amount of clutter generated when people
activate the 'vacation' autoreply command to incoming mail
("I've gone fishing, be back thursday, if it's really
important call ...') -- such a message could be generated
each time the user got a new message from the list, and be
sent to the list address... but with the bulk thing, there
will be at the most one such autoreply sent to the list.
