Subject: Majordomo and Linux...

Howdy. I just subscribed to the list today because I'm having trouble
getting Majordomo working on a Linux system.

I currently have it running on a FreeBSD machine, but I want to move it
to a Linux machine, because I'm more familiar with Linux, and because
there's more software available for it.

The problem is that Perl 4 doesn't work properly under Linux. I've
installed and compiled it using the Linux-specific patches, and it
compiles and tests out just fine.

However, the opendir() command doesn't work, when it's supposed to.

I've posted this question to Usenet and had no response, so I figured I'd
ask here. The Slackware 3.0 distribution of Linux comes with Perl 5.001,
but we all know that Majordomo doesn't work on that one.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Rob
