I just *tried* to install majordomo on Linux.
I have Perl 5.001m and the FAQ and README do not make it clear whether
this will work. In any case, I found no @ character within strings in
the perl scripts which I should quote with a slash.
After setting up everthing, I get the following errors when sending mail
to it:
~/src/system/majordomo/majordomo-1.93> mail majordomo
Subject:
help
EOT
"/usr/local/lib/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"...
Can't create output: Permission denied
If I run that interactively, I get:
/usr/local/lib/majordomo/wrapper majordomo
help
^D
Majordomo: is not a valid return address.
Any clue what I did wrong? (Permissions? wrong name or path somewhere?)
(BTW, the installation is *not* trivial by any measure. I would think it's
easy to get it wrong. But it's worth to effort to get it going...)
