Looks like 'newsgate', by Rich Salz, would do what you want. We
use it to port the canals mailing list to uk.rec.waterways and
vice-versa. The last email address I had for Rich was
rsalz@nntp.com. However when I last tried, several times,to email him
a few months ago, all the messages bounced. (If anyone does have
a good email address for Rich, I'd like to know what it is.)
When we got newsgate last fall, it was not available on any ftp
site, but had to be obtained directly from Rich. We also had to
agree to NOT pass our copies to anyone else.
