I am thinking of setting up a mailing list tree: there is a top level
mailing list, which is gated to a newsgroup, to which a bunch of
mailing list moderators subscribe.
When each moderator gets a posting, they decide whether to bounce it
to the mailing list they moderate. The mailing list they moderate
could itself have moderators of mailing lists subscribing to it.
One thing that would be necessary for this is to set Reply-To:
correctly. If a posting is posted to the top-level mailing list,
you'd want to set Reply-To: to the top-level mailing list, not to
a list further down in the tree. Is it possible for a moderator of
a majordomo mailing list to put whatever they want to in the header,
or does majordomo want to put in the Reply-To: header line?
For posting, if a person posted to a given mailing list, the posting
would propagate down the tree, subject to moderator approvals, but
not up the tree. So one would post to the whole tree by posting to
the top-level mailing list.
Any other suggestions about setting up such a tree?
Thanks.
