Hi all,
I installed majordomo 1.93 just a few days ago.
Everything appear to be correct despite the
"Out of memory"
I receive when I test majordomo requesting help
from a regula account. It must be noticed that
majordomo do all his job and mail is sent out
end received. The problem is:
majordomo eats up all my memory (RAM+swap)
causing irreversible slowing of my machine.
The only solution is to kill -9 majordomo.
Also I observed that the Log file is always
zero-size.
Yes, of course...
I've already checked all permission at least 10 times.
I read FAQ, I read manuals, I made some trials
debugging perl but no solutions came out.
I think that the incriminated loop is
a perl eval() call contained in
majordomo
The FAQ and other docs tell that this
is a perl implementation problem.
I tried perl4.034 and perl5.001
with no success.
Did anybody found/resolved this problem before?
I run:
Linux kernel 1.2.13
Perl 4.036 and 5.001
Majordomo 1.93
A pentium 90 with 32 mb of ram - 2 Gb of EIDE HD...
(I think you don't care about my S3 video card,
4x CDROM and so on... :-) )
Thank you in advance to everybody would like
to be so patient to read me and possibly to
answer me...
Best regards,
Alberto Gaiga
