Hi!

I am using (trying to use) Majordomo 1.93 on a Linux 1.3.78 system with
Sendmail 8.6.12. Perl is 5.003.

After some time spent to install it properly, everything seemed fine.

BUT: There is a problem with the "lopen" function in majordomo.pl. If
this function is NOT commented out of the code, the server is crashed
(memory exausted).

This function is used to open files for the password and the logging functions
in a locked manner (I think). The log isn't the most important thing, but
the "approve" password would be nice to be functional. The file permissions
were checked, and everything seems fine. (Does the "$log" variable need
to point to a FILE or to a DIRECTORY?!?).

If the lopen function is operational, an approval of a subscription works
fine ("succeeded"), but some time thereafter, everything crashes (gets slow
and finnaly hangs). :-(

If everyone knows something about it (patch?) on this specific (Linux)
situation, I would be glad to know.

Thanks!
