I think I may be out of luck on this, but here goes ....

I had been asked to install majordomo so I grabbed v1.93 (on Solaris
2.5 with Perl 5.002) and, after the usual fun and games, got it running
to the point of sending an item and logging it, but then I hit the
wall; I've gone over the Readme, FAQ etc but it seems that majordomo is
too we[ld]ded to sendmail for us to use.

The mailer used here generally uses aliases that simply map to an
address but there is a special case which allows the sendmail style
executable alias but this requires a specially named file in the user's
home directory so the only way I can see for this to work for us is to
set up accounts for each script, named resend etc and have this file exec'd
from eg resend's home directory.

I can't see this as a practical solution so has anyone else solved
anything resembling this situation with majordomo or can recommend
another list-server where the admin scripts are not so tightly bound
to the mailer.

Thanks,

Roy Giles
