New subscribes

I just found out something interesting -- my MD is sending out about
the last two weeks of messages to all the new subscribers. I found out
by mistyping an email address and watching all the bounced mail come
back immediately. Does anyone know how to turn this "feature" off, or
at least limit it to one or two days? I looked at the config file but
didn't see anything that looked like it controled this. MD = 1.93,
perl=5.003.
