We here at the University would have faculty and staff postings to lists
of each department that should not be missed from a user unsubscribing from
the list.
I have a way of doing this, but It is a bit messy. By creating a file
list_out and running a diff on list and list_out, adding the new address
to list_out, I can keep the members on the list_out. When they
unsubscribe to the list it pulls their address from list. By running the
diff we can add new address to list_out.
I understand the concern for having a list that would do this, but if I
can come up with the above way of doing so, then the concern should not be
to great.
