THANKS ALOT for your HELP. It worked but now there is a new problem...
wat i've got is an auto list and when someone subsribes to the list root
gets back a message saying

happening.
There isn't enough info to tell where this shell is getting invoked; either
it's by sendmail when it does the pipe to the wrapper, or somehow by perl
when it does a glob expansion. Very strange.
As a shot in the dark, does your majordomo user have .cshrc, .login,
..profile, or any other shell startup files in its home directory? If so,
move them somewhere else and see if it stops.
