I hope I am not boring people with this qusestion! It seems like, if solved,
could be useful to other people. People are always asking about MODERATED
[not just DIGESTED] versions of my popular lists.
Here are the aliases:

Mail to LISTNAME gets sent directly to LISTNAME-outgoing and then off to
LISTNAME-mod (moderated list). Once this post is approved [by piping to
approve] the post os propagated to LISTNAME-mod *and* LISTNAME. But this time
since it has a different password from LISTNAME's resend BOUNCES it. Previously
when I said that LISTNAME was getting two copies of moderated posts that was
because LISTNAME and LISTNAME-mod had the SAME PASSWORD.
So, this is pretty good. The good thing about it, too, is that exactly the same
behaviour happens when one sends to LISTNAME-mod.
The only problem is that the MODERATORS get two copies of every post that they
approve [this is an improvement! :-)] They get a BOUNCE message from
LISTNAME-mod for approval to the moderated list AND then they get a BOUNCE
message from the UNMODERATED list complaining about an attempt to send a post
with an invalid UNMODERATED list password (because that post has the MODERATED
list password).
I'm reasonably satisified with this, but it seems that there should be a
solution that works under the previous specs. to wit (in order of importance):
1. posts go directly [via resend administrivia filter] to LISTNAME *AND*
to [via resend MODERATION filter] LISTNAME-mod
2. no list should get more than one copy of any post (by list I include
moderators and subscribers)
3. ability to post to LISTNAME-mod OR LISTNAME
I'm ok with giving up the capability [of subscribers] to post to
LISTNAME-mod. But the question is, what SHOULD happen when someone posts to
LISTNAME-mod, then? And if I give up 3, then I want 2 to be firm on no
duplicates to anyone.
We can take this offline if people are bored with it.
