I've struggled along with the rest of Joe public with installations of 1.93
and 1.94a9, and just about managed to get both working to a reasonable
degree. I want to have a look at 1.94b1; and will be using Solaris 2.4 on a
Sparcstation 5 with perl5.002. Does anyone have any comments on the
stability, so far, of 1.94b1? Are there any major booboos that I should be
aware of? Where am I most likely to run into trouble? Have any patches
been produced to cover bugs so far?
Oh yeah, just one last one thing. Brent got a bit upset about people
discussing 1.94a9 here in the users list, and it was suggested that
discussion of 1.94a9 take place in the workers list. I tried this to find
the answer to a problem, and even offered to help where I could, but
received no answers.
It's rather academic now, but I would still like to know if there was a
problem with the index command in 1.94a9, what it was and whether it was
patched before the b1 release? (My 1.94a9 would archive and get but would
not index - invalid command error).
