Majordomo does not need to write to the mail queue unless you have
configured it in a really, really bizarre manner. Majordomo only needs to
write to the directory where you install it, all subdirectories and
files therein. Note that since it must create new files in the top level
directory of the installation, it needs write access there. This is the
number one mistake, and is generally the cause of all of those problems
where Majordomo runs constantly, consuming memory until it segfaults.
