Hi All,
I'm having a few problems. I set up a moderated list and ran into a
few small problems. One is, like I saw someone else post recently,
that the "Sender" and "Precedence" lines show up after the first line
of text. I tried putting one blank line or two blank lines after the
"Approved: <passwd>" line, and it still happens.
Second, is there a way to change the "Apparently-To" line? Or will
it always look like it's going to the outgoing list address? I'd
rather have something bogus in there like "kpblist subscribers"
<owner-kpblist@linux.tax.org>. (Or does 'reply to all' in most
e-mail packages not go to the 'Apparently-To' address? Part of my
concern is because it looks weird, and the rest is because I don't
want someone replying and getting to the list.)
Third, in my message footer (in the .config file), I put a "--" to
make it look like a normal footer; but the first dash got swallowed.
Oops?
Finally, a question that's not exactly a problem *yet*: We have many
lists, but we use regular e-mail to maintain 'em, instead of a find
MLM like Majordomo. The list names have periods from them (periods
are acceptable in Lotus Notes, which is what we use for e-mail).
Would it be complicated, trivial, or somewhere inbetween to make
Majordomo accept periods in list names? Or . . . is this a
limitation of Majordomo, or of sendmail (which is the MTA for
Majordomo on the Linux box I'm using)? Obviously we can rename the
lists (we'll have to let people know about the change in sub/unsub
requests anyway), but it'd be nice not to have to.
Below is a real message I sent to my test list which illustrates what
I'd like to change. (Not knowing the protocol, I'm quoting the
headers. :)
Thanks in advance!
Kendall

Yes, Mike, we can! See? :) It's configurable *per*list*.
