Hello:
I am a newbie list admin using Majordomo. The list is being hosted by
pobox.com, which has set up a proprietary WWW-based interface for
configuring list options and for adding and removing subscribers, but one
can also write changes to the config file via e-mail.
One option it does *not* offer is an option to send an automatic welcome
message to new subscribers explaining how to sign off, the list policies,
etc. So I have some questions about that...
1) I'm assuming majordomo supports this feature, because I got a welcome
message when I joined *this* list. : ) Am I correct?
2) Assuming I can have a message e-mailed automagically to new subscribers,
will I have to somehow upload the message text file to the host computer?
3) What is the command for setting this up, if it is indeed possible?
Any help you can offer this newbie will be greatly appreciated...
