Hello Majordomo-users,
We are installing Majordomo-1.9.3 for the first time here at ccn.net on a
sparc20 running SunOS 5.5.1. Well, it's friday and the list is scheduled to
run on monday - the right exposition for the kind of things that make live
so interesting.
Immediately after a mail containing a command like "lists" has been
received by Majordomo the swapspace (120 MB) fills up to 100%. Some two or
three minutes later the list's owner is notified like that:
> ----- The following addresses have delivery notifications -----
>"|/usr/local/majordomo/bin/wrapper majordomo" (unrecoverable error)
> (expanded from: majordomo)
>
> ----- Transcript of session follows -----
>Out of memory!
>554 "|/usr/local/majordomo/bin/wrapper majordomo"... unknown mailer error 1
The message's sender, however, afterwards receives the correct output from
the "lists" command.
So I'm afraid the machine's performance might suffer a little bit from
running a 400 users mailing list (apart from other tasks).
Has anybody had this problem before? I'm a complete newbie to majordomo
(and this list), so feel free to point me to the FAQ or the (shame!)
manual.
Thank you for your help
