Have you tried telnet'ing to the box where it's living, and doing
things at the command-line there? Obviously, you'd need an account
with access. I presume that modifying the .config file is what is
annoying you to do in e-mail, since I think that's pretty much most
of what is doable through e-mail. Telnet'ing won't be any different,
of course, but I thought I'd mention it as an alternative. (I edit
the .config files on my Linux box 'manually' -- not using e-mail --
using medit instead, after I changed medit to (1) use emacs, and (2)
chown the files [very important, I'm surprised it's not built-in].)
