I suppose this shows incredible naivety on my part.  

Surely anyone using a majordomo list for spamming would be able to
configure majordomo's MTA aliases so as to frustrate any attempt by
the victims to remove themselves.  I cannot see that this would be
particularily difficult to do if this is what one wished.

I can see a problem if a 'normal' list has unsubscribe disabled
while allowing anyone to subscribe.    An e-mail bomber would
probably find this combination very amusing.
