Subject: 1.94 on Virtual Server

	I'm setting up v1.94 on a Virtual Server ....

BSDI BDS v2.1 on a Pentium 100 with 32 megs.
Currently running v1.93.

Oddities:

	The "Virtual Path" to Majordomo v1.94:
 /usr/local/majordomo-1.94

	"Actual Path" to v1.94:
/usr/home/hitchhik/usr/local/majordomo-1.94

chown - Not available on the Virtual Server. All run under hitchhik. I've
had problems in the past with perl scripts that wanted to do any mkdir or
chmod commands. Discussions with the techs reveled they desire to keep the
systems secure and they were unaware of anyway to do so while allowing a
script to mkdir, chmod etc. In that case, I simply manually created
directories and manually handled permissions.

Problem:

	Errors when sending mail to Majordomo with Lists command (setup for test
as tmajordomo@hitchhikers.net). Config-test reports "Nothing bad found ...".

	Error when config-test says all is well as reported in the log and no
bounced email:

<22>Oct 31 15:43:43 sendmail[21857]: PAA21852:
to="|/usr/local/majordomo-1.94/wrapper majordomo",
 delay=00:0 0:03, mailer=prog, stat=Operating system error: Error 0

	Above error is with the following aliases:

Tmajordomo:  "|/usr/local/majordomo-1.94/wrapper majordomo"
Tmajordomo-owner: mwest@hitchhikers.net
owner-Tmajordomo: mwest@hitchhikers.net

test:		"|/usr/local/majordomo-1.94/wrapper resend -l test test-list"
test-list:	:include:/usr/local/majordomo-1.94/Lists/test
owner-test:	mwest@hitchhikers.net
test-owner:	mwest@hitchhikers.net
test-request:	"|/usr/local/majordomo-1.94/wrapper majordomo -l test"

	When I edit aliases paths to "actual" rather than "virtual" paths,
[/usr/home/hitchhik/usr/local/majordomo-1.94/..] the following is logged:

<22>Oct 31 15:50:12 sendmail[22590]: PAA22585:
to="|/usr/home/hitchhik/usr/local/majordomo-1.94/wrapper majordomo",
delay=00:00:01, mailer=prog, stat=unknown mailer error 2

	Followed by bounced email:

	Hopefully I've posted enough information. No doubt there is another bit
of info ... just ask. I have gone thru majordomo.cf, compared it to my
1.93 one and it looks ok to me (which may not be saying that much).

	Looking forward to any ideas.

- Mark
