"majordomo" is 9 characters long which will cause troubles on some UNIX
systems so typically "majordom" is used instead.  The userid "majordom" 
is usually aliased to the system administrator in sendmail's aliases file. 
For example, here's an excerpt from my aliases file:

owner-majordomo: nick
majordomo: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"

majordom: owner-majordomo

As you can see, mail sent to "majordomo" gets piped to the "wrapper" 
program and mail to "majordom" gets sent to the user who maintains
Majordomo (me) on my system.
