Hi everybody,
I wonder if there is somebody out there who is kind enough to help me,
even if it is a lot of work:
I am running majordomo-1.94 on a solaris machine and I am quite happy
that I made it work! The problem is: I am not using sendmail,
I am using post.office2.0
This sendmail replacement does not support an alias file where I want
to put the :include: command to forward an email to a lot of people.
What I need is somebody who could add a little perl code to the resend
program of majordomo, which does the following:
normally, resend requires two options: -l listname and an email address.
This address is normally an alias to a list of email addresses.
I need 'resend' to be modified so that I don't specify an email address,
I want to specify a filename, (the listname file with all the addresses
in it) so that it will send the mails to all the recipients of the list.
For example:
./wrapper resend -l testlist lists/testlist
and in lists/testlist are all the recipients are listed.
It shouldn't be too complicated to add this perl code, it is reading
a file until EOF, and then sending a copy of every mail to all these
read addresses. I tried it, but I have to admit that I am too dumb to
understand perl. I really can't understand what this script is doing.
It would be more than nice if somebody could help me out there.
I am looking forward to your answers,
Floyd
