I dont believe this is in the FAQ/Docs, so I thought I would
put it forward here. I have just setup majordomo (not fully yet!)
on my debian linux destribution machine. The main problem I had
was the :include: syntax of the alias file entries. smail
simply did not understand these. Hence a faq entry to go along
side the bit about changing the sendmail to smail in majordomo.cf:
By default, smail does not understand the :include: syntax. If
you have this problem, it is easily solved. Simply add the
following line to the end of your /etc/smail/directors file:
aliasinclude:
driver=aliasinclude,
nobody;
copysecure,
copyowners,
smail will now be able to expand :include:<file> entries to
mailing lists.
