I have one list that is semi-moderated, meaning that there is a list
of approved people who are allowed to post, and any list member who
is not in this list cannot post.
I have a file called listname-post. In listname.config, I have
"restrict_post=listname-post"
In general, I like the fact that 194 now uses restrict_post for
access control for who, which, get, etc. so list members can get
digest archives, and digest members can get list archives, on a
normal list.
The problem is that now list members on this semi-moderated list
cannot do a who or get on the list, unless they are one of the
allowed posters.
It turns out it is OK for the digest list because I can set
restrict_post on the digest config to include the list and digest
files, since the digest config file doesn't apply to posting controls
for resend. But I'm still stuck for access to the main list.
Does anyone have any suggestions or hacks with 194 to allow a subset of
members to post, and allow all list and digest members access to who
and get? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
