This is your first message on the subject I believe. Where have you
looked so far?
Here's my entry in the aliases file (SunOS 4.1.4)
ijc-eco-archive: "| /usr/opt/lib/majordomo-1.93/wrapper
archive2.pl -a -m -f /u/md-archive/ijc/ijc-eco.archive"
It works with Majordomo1.94 too.
You have to have a few other aliases entries, one of them inluding the
archive as an output thus:
ijc-eco-out::include:/project/glin/majordom/lists/ijc-eco, ijc-eco-archive
The program, archive2.pl, has to be copied from the Tools subdirectory to
the main majordomo directory.
My directories are owned by majordom.majordom and daemon is a member of
group majordom. However, this is the ownership on archive2.pl
-rwxr-xr-x 1 majordom majordom 7192 Mar 2 1995 archive2.pl
So my archives are created as majordom.majordom owned files.
It all works swell. Note that I can send messages to the archive without
sending them to the list by addressing them to: ijc-eco-archive.
Maybe this helps a little.
