I have been a subscriber to this list for about a year and have gotten
great help. Like a few posting I have seen lately, my lists have been
running fine for a year [configuration to follow] and now without
anychanges to the config file, no new software, etc. I start getting some
interesting behavior.
Configuration:
Linux (Slakware ver 1.2)
MJ ver 1.93
Sendmail ver 8.28
Problem:
(I just happened to be logged in as root but this happens if I am logged
in as myself)
I send the following message to majordomo:
approve [password] unsubscribe stamis
maiselk.ilogs@belvoir-stamis.army.mil
approve [password] unsubscribe stamis glennturnage@worldnet.att.net
end
I get the following response:
>>>> approve [snipped password] unsubscribe stamis
**** unsubscribe: 'root <root@tso.belvoir.army.mil>' is not a member of
list
'stamis'.
>>>> maiselk.ilogs@belvoir-stamis.army.mil
**** Command 'maiselk.ilogs@belvoir-stamis.army.mil' not recognized.
>>>> approve [snipped password] unsubscribe stamis
glennturnage@worldnet.att.net
Succeeded.
>>>> end
END OF COMMANDS

Any ideas as to why MJ unsubscribes the sender of the request? This
happens if I send it as hoppec@issc.... or as root@tso..... It appears to
only partially parse the first line, it does fine with all other lines.
Thanks
