Subject: File modes

The NEWLIST documentation in the Majordomo distribution indicates that the
<list-name> file should be mode 664. Wouldn't this allow anyone in the
world to view a list's members' e-mail addresses? (thus defeating any other
security measures in the majordomo.cf file).

I have set my test-l list's files' modes to 660, and it seems to be working,
although I have done minimal testing. Is there any reason why a list's
"base" file should be mode 664 (as stated in the documentation)?

Thanks for the reply.

- Bill.
