I'd be interested as well, although I don't know how much it will
help. People don't seem to read what majordomo sends back, so why
will they read what a human sends them?

Since I've been logging subscription requests, I'm amazed at how
much problem some people have with majordomo. I guess the auth
feature does keep out the people that manage to subscribe and
then are unable to figure out how to unsub (-:
