I downloaded it onto DOS, it put it in the 8/3 character format, then I
mv'd it to it's proper length. Yes,I got it from GreatCircle.

The copy I got was the majordomo-1.94.1.tar.Z

Probably both =P

I have Linux itself, but not all the packages. Is the CMP command really
necessary?

The part that is VERY strange is that I do HAVE The Majordomo.pl file
sitting in my /majordomo directory.. maybe that needs to be in the
path--or ya know.. I think that's it =) What do you think?
