Recently, I've been having problems with subscribe/unsubscribe requests
to Majordomo (1.94.1 on a linux 2.0.28 machine, running perl 5.003
and sendmail 8.8.5)..namely, I get error messages such as the following:
Feb 02 23:58:52 neylonpc.engin.umich.edu majordomo[4812] {SOME USER
<someuser@email.add>} ABORT Majordomo punting to avoid mail loop.
Mailing lists themselves still appear to work, and this behavior appears
across all lists that Majordomo handles. Looking at the majordomo
script, this error can only appear once, when $reply_to is the
same as $whoami... but I don't know how that $reply_to is being
set: all my lists are .config'ed to use <listname>@neylonpc as
the replyto: address.
The weird thing is, based on the logs, I haven't installed any new
software that would affect my mailing stuff I know of before this
started happening.
Can anyone suggest a way to fix this problem?
