bounce script

I want to setup the bounce script to process bounced messages to my 
list and am I correct in believing that all the bounce script does is 
unsubscribe an address from the list and subscribe them to the 
bounce list?  If this is true then how do I got about having the 
bounced mail for a list go to the bounce script? 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
