Subject: Suppress intro & info?

Is there a way to configure a list such that all administrative messages
to the subscribers are completely suppressed? For example, I do *NOT* want
the receiving notification messages that they've been subscribed, nor the
info file either. Likewise, I do *NOT* want them to receive notifications
when they are unsubscribed.

[sounds underhanded, I know. But what I'm trying to accomplish is not so
much a discussion list, but a personal address book to be shared by a
small workgroup.]

Thanks, in advance,
-Bob Byers
