Strip attachments prior to digest

To all,
I remember reading somewhere about a listname.strip file - can't remember
where.  Been through the FAQ, archives, etc. but can't find it.  What I need
to do is strip pictures, and every once in a while a mailer (RTF) booger.
But the main part is the pictures.  In the standard list the pictures come
as attachments, but get embedded in the digest version.  Any help would be
appreciated.
