I'm in the process of setting up a moderated mailing list (as list-owner)
that I will be handling from a PC environment using EUDORA PRO for emails.
I have a problem. I've set up my config file as being moderate=yes. I have
one password that handles everything to do with my list.
The problem is I cannot figure out how to either APPROVE mesages to the
list or post any to begin with. Anything I am sending gets bounced back.
I've tried including the line: "Approved: <password>" as the first line of
the email and deleted any routing information leaving the to, from, subject
and date. There are no blank lines included.
The name of my list is allaboutmoney@list.gen.com. When I forward the
approved message to that email address, it just gets bounced back.
I've looked EVERYWHERE online for help on this. I have a deadline to get
out my newsletter today.... and with it being Easter Weekend, its hard to
get help from anywhere.
What can I be doing wrong? Or is it possible that the problem is on the
system I am using?
Could a safe option in the meantime be to temporarily change my config file
to moderate=yes JUST while I am sending the message out and then to change
it back? (And hope that no one will send an email to the list in those few
minutes!)
