Hi
I'm running MD 1.94.1 under qmail( with qmail patches) (w/o the send mail
wrappers for /etc/aliases) on a Sparc 20 using Solaris 2.5.1. We are
running a very basic MD setup, 4 aliases per list.
Problem: My lists that were just moved here from a sendmail/MD-1.?? are
having problems. The user that is sending mail to a list is
getting "failure notice"s from Qmail about all the bad address
that the list, they just sent to, contains. Shouldn't these be
going to the list-owner? I didn't have this problem on the old
system.
Ex. of qmail error to the user that sent it.
This is the qmail-send program at XXXXXX.rutgers.edu. I'm afraid
I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is
a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
examples od my aliases:
OLD sendmail aliases:
LIST_NAME_HERE: :include:/usr/local/majordomo/lists/LIST_NAME_HERE
owner-LIST_NAME_HERE: LIST_NAME_HERE-approval
LIST_NAME_HERE-request: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper request-answer
LIST_NAME_HERE"
LIST_NAME_HERE-approval:
:include:/usr/local/majordomo/lists/LIST_NAME_HERE.owner
NEW Qmail converted aliases:
lrwxrwxrwx alias qmail .qmail-LIST_NAME_HERE ->
/usr/local/majordomo/lists/LIST_NAME_HERE*
lrwxrwxrwx alias qmail .qmail-LIST_NAME_HERE-approval ->
/usr/local/majordomo/lists/LIST_NAME_HERE.owner*
-rw-r--r-- alias qmail .qmail-LIST_NAME_HERE-request
-rw-r--r-- alias qmail .qmail-owner-LIST_NAME_HERE
.qmail-LIST_NAME_HERE-request ....has the line below this on in it
|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper request-answer LIST_NAME_HERE
.qmail-owner-LIST_NAME_HERE ....has the owners address in it
.qmail-majordomo ....has the line below this on in it
|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper majordomo
any ideas???
Thanks
