I currently installed Majordomo for the first time. It works great in
PINE. I can send, and receive e-mail to the mailing list as long as I
send, and receive the e-mail while in PINE only.
1)When I go to use a E-mail Client to send e-mail to the mailing list it
will not send the e-mail, and gives me a error message saying "Invalid
User". So it obviously isn't looking at the alias file or something.
2)Another problem I have is when e-mailing from a E-mail Client such as
Netscape Mail, Microsoft Outlook, or Microsoft Outlook Express to the
mailing list with a command such as subscribe <listname> in the body of
the e-mail, majordomo does not detect the line subscribe <listname> in the
body of the e-mail because of a header that the E-mail Clients add to the
beginning of the e-mail that looks like this:
Date: Wed, 23 Apr 1997 18:47:23 -0400
From: jmr@gdn.net
To: majordomo@gdn.net
Subject: Testing
[The following text is in the "iso-8859-1" character set]
[Your display is set for the "US-ASCII" character set]
[Some characters may be displayed incorrectly]
subscribe gdn-info
-Test1
That header that describes the Character Set seems to throw off Majordomo,
and majordomo will not see the subscribe line. The mail goes into the
majordomo account. So if I log in as the Majordomo user, and go into PINE,
then majordomo will have the mail sitting in there with this header as it
looks above.
Any, and all help is GREATLY appreciated.
Thank You.
