Majordomo and Unix gurus,
I have an RS/6000 workstation running operating system AIX 3.2.5. My
boss wants me to put Majordomo on it. However ...
... I have encountered a problem with either Perl or Majordomo on AIX.
My perl interpreter is an executable from an IBM archive. This is only
because I couldn't get Perl to compile on AIX. I know somebody did,
somewhere. Plus I have seen many usenet comments of frustration about
doing it and a patch for AIX - but no instructions on how to apply the
patch.
With my perl, there is no ctime.pl (yes, even in the source code from
the IBM site, which says it is perl version 5.002). It is, for some
reason, not in the distribution. So I had to get ctime.pl seperately
and put it in /usr/majordomo-1.94.1 (which is my home directory for
Majordomo).
With ctime.pl in my home directory, Majordomo passes all the wrapper
tests. The Majordomo aliases are in my Sendmail aliases file.
My test list is set but I receive no response from
# touch /usr/majordomo-1.94.1/lists/test
# echo 'lists' | mail majordomo
Finally, the corker ... when I try to run ./majordomo it says it can't
find ctime.pl in the $homedir, although it is definitely there. So is
there a way I can get Majordomo to see that file? The exact error
message is:
#./majordomo
Can't locate ctime.pl in @INC at ./majordomo line 62.
Thanks for any advice you can provide. I feel like I would get
Majordomo to run if it recognized my ctime.pl. But I don't know why it
can't locate it.
If I've left out any relevant information, please let me know.
