I am using majordomo 1.94.1 on 486 DX2 clone hardware.

My husband just upgraded his operating system to FreeBSD 2.2.1.
Of course, a bunch of smooth operating things just up and stopped
working, including majordomo.

In particular, these are the results of ./wrapper config-test

<<
------------------------------------------------------------
---------------- Config-test for Majordomo ----------------
------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------- Obvious things: ---------------------
------------------ environment variables ------------------
   HOME=/home/mjd1.94.1
   LOGNAME=anne
   MAJORDOMO_CF=/home/mjd1.94.1/majordomo.cf
   PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/ucb
   SHELL=/bin/sh
   USER=anne
--------------------- euid/egid checks ---------------------
   effective user = majordomo (uid 1003)
   effective group = daemon wheel anne daemon (gid 1 0 1001 1 )
---------------------- uid/gid checks ----------------------
   real user = majordomo (uid 1003)
   real      group = daemon wheel anne daemon (gid 1 0 1001 1 )
------------------------------------------------------------

	Non obvious things that cause headaches:

------------------------------------------------------------
Good: 'require'd /home/mjd1.94.1/majordomo.cf okay.
Good: found ctime.pl okay.
Good: found majordomo_version.pl okay.
/(^|([^\\"]|\\.)+)"([^\\"]|\\.|$)*"?/: regexp *+ operand could be empty at majordomo.pl line 519
>>

This did not come up with the initial install. I think this error is coming
from Perl. It has to do with eliminating expressions that emacs does not
like. The error also occurs if I try to send any commands to majordomo
along with this message:

Do you have any suggestions on how I can tweak this, or do I need to do
a whole new install?
