Um, what's *after* this line? We need to see everything up until the
line that contains the word END all by itself. Mine is like this:

message_fronter << END
- Subject Listing:
- ----------------
-
- _SUBJECTS_
-

END

The help text you quoted

	# message_fronter [string_array] (undef) <resend,digest>
	# Text to be prepended to the beginning of all messages posted to
	# the list. The text is expanded before being used. The following
	# expansion tokens are defined: $LIST - the name of the current
	# list, $SENDER - the sender as taken from the from line, $VERSION,
	# the version of majordomo. If used in a digest, only the expansion
	# token _SUBJECTS_ is available, and it expands to the list of
	# message subjects in the digest

explains quite nicely how to get a list of subjects to appear.

Hope the above helps -- but you have to do your half too, you know --
read what is in front of you. The answer was there all along. The
documentation explains how the .config file works, the right above the
message_fronter is a description of how that particular part works.

Cheers and g'luck,
Kendall
