Try setting
restrict_post = <listname>
I'm not sure if that will solve your problem but it did mine. I"ll have to
try sending e-mail from one of my accounts not subscribed to
owner-listname
and see if that bypasses it.

The blank line is not between the approved line and the message headers,
but between the message headers and the message body as:
Approved: password
header 1
header 2
header 3
header etc.
message body
The headers of the bounce message are deleted, leaving only the headers of
the original message before sending. I follow the instructions which say
to save the message to a "file", then compose a message to "the list"
where the first line is the approved line.
Next, read in the "file" containing the bounced message. Edit out the
headers of the "bounced message" and IMMEDIATELY following the
approved line would be the headers of the original message, THEN a "blank
line" and finally the message body.
